İYİ Party President Meral Akşener spoke about the management of the economy in Turkey during her weekly group meeting today (October 27).

She recalled that the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for international financial monitoring has placed Turkey on a gray list for its inability to make sufficient efforts to fight money laundering and terrorist financing.

Here are some highlights from his speech:

“Uganda, the Philippines, Syria on the list”

“Turkey faces a new crisis every week. Those who say, “We will make our economy one of the top 10 economies in the world by 2023” have even taken it off the top 20 list.

“Because of this visionary understanding of management, we were ultimately graylisted. This gray list has no country that has the 10 largest economies in the world. Likewise, there are no countries that have the 20 largest economies in the world.

“When it comes to the world’s top 30 economies, Turkey is the only country on this list. But who else is on the list?

“Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe and Uganda are on this list. For example, there are the Philippines, Cambodia, Syria …

“As you can see, each country on the list is a success in its own right. And do you know based on what you got on the list?

“If there is large-scale money laundering in your country, terrorist groups get funding from your country and you don’t tackle these issues, you are on the gray list. Just look at her mess. Turkey. Shame on you.

“Nobody asks, ‘Where did you get the money? “

“What do you think the government has done about this mess? Just as they always do when faced with such situations, they all started talking about “foreign powers”.

“In order to better understand why we are on the gray list, we must first answer this question. What is the question: ‘Is there really money laundering in Turkey?’ Yes, unfortunately there are.

To make matters worse, the money is laundered by the hand of the state. For example, if you have money overseas or if you take the money you illegally earned overseas, you don’t have to make any effort to launder that money.

” How? ‘Or’ What ? You can apply for repatriation in cash and easily launder that money with a 1% commission. I mean, when you pay the 1% commission, nobody asks you, “Where did you get this money?” “

“Do you sell drugs?” Bring your money ‘

“So in this creepy system, the government says, ‘Do you sell drugs? Bring your money. Are you involved in smuggling? Bring your money. Did you move your money from Turkey? Bring it.’

“I launder your money and you with a 1% commission.” It’s so simple. This is not a bleacher advertisement. It’s the AKP government …

“Here is Mr. [President Recep Tayyip] Erdoğan, who is trying to rule a state with the powers of a tribal chief, which ultimately put us on the same list as tribal states. Here is the partisan presidential system, which is said to stimulate the economy! “(AS / SD)
